Job Description:

The ER Specialist will be single point of contact for site leaders on all employee relations issues to ensure consistency and efficiency in resolving matters. Will provide leadership and direction on how to resolve issues at both micro and macro levels. The ER Specialist will manage the employee relations education process for deploying of information to HR, managers and employees. Remain up to date on federal and state laws to ensure Deluxe’s policies and practices adhere to the specifications so as to minimize legal risk.


Accountabilities:

- Manages employee relations investigations to ensure appropriate resolution. Communicates findings with local leaders and HR.
- Identifies employee relations opportunities, proposes solutions and follows up to ensure compliance.
- Provides guidance to clients through performance management concerns. Coaches managers on skills and techniques of delivery.
- Assists clients with interpretation of policies and procedures.
- Leads the creation and deployment of employee relations skills training to leaders.
- Partners with legal department to stay current on legislation that will impact Deluxe.
- Develops data points through which trends become visible so action can be taken to improve.
- Analyzes trends in Deluxe employment practices and develops/updates policies as needed.
- Assists with exit interviews for employees voluntarily leaving the organization.
- Manages all aspects of the immigration process and partners with outside council to ensure compliance of federal laws.

Required:

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Relations, HR, Business Administration
- 6-10 years relevant work experience with multi-site organization
- 6-10 years of HR experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law
- HR Generalist knowledge in all HR functional disciplines
- Experience in project management
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Demonstrated HR consulting, business leadership, problem solving, communication, negotiation and organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
