The HR Strategic Business Partner Lead (HR Director) contributes to the business performance by providing strategic consulting on people strategies, organization development, and other HR related business events. As a Strategic HR Leader, this position will educate, guide, coach, and influence respective business leaders on issues involving (but not limited to) employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation and benefit administration, organization development, cultural transformation, and employee engagement. Will work cross functionally with business partners to identify, provide design input, and implement HR initiatives that support the business needs as well as initiatives that support Enterprise wide activities. Responsible for ensuring consistency, communication, collaboration, and cross-training within and across multiple sites and the HR function at large.
This role requires a strong emphasis on strategic and organization consulting that supports business transformation.
Accountabilities:
- Serve as a Strategic Business Partner to implement people strategies that align with the Business Objectives
- Lead, coach and develop the HR teams to deliver results that support business growth and transformation.
- Lead change within the business and design processes and approaches which prepare employees for ongoing change and business transformation.
- Facilitates the definition and communication of the organization’s culture, vision and values which guide the decisions and actions of the business
- Conduct in depth supply and demand analysis of the current and future people and skills needs for the organization and develop strategies and plans to meet those needs Able to act objectively while coaching employees and management through issues that are complex, difficult, or emotional in nature.
- Collaborate with HR Partners to use continuous improvement methodology to streamline processes, procedures, and initiatives that support the overall function and business strategy.
- Include cultural assimilation, talent ID and selection, or guidance on the people decisions associated with M&A
- Identifies strategies to increase productivity, employee performance, and change leadership while designing metrics to track the effectiveness of programs
- Demonstrate an understanding of the business and financial means to reach functional and Enterprise objectives. Provide business leaders and HR leadership with metrics and analysis of site/area.
Required:
- Bachelors degree required
- Demonstrated ability to effectively partner and influence Sr. Leadership
- 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic partnership role
- CHRP Certification
- Thorough knowledge of US Federal and Canadian employment laws and regulations.
- Prior leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability and success in working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing and conflicting priorities
- Highly effective presentation, facilitation, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to interface effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the enterprise
- Ability to influence colleagues and leadership regarding escalated issues affecting enterprise, area, and/or HR
- Ability to work independently and manage employees in a virtual environment
- Strong ability to execute/drive for results
- Demonstrated experience developing innovative human resources solutions
- Demonstrate curiosity and passion for the business. Demonstrate ability to think globally and act locally
- Exhibit ability to think strategically and operate tactically if necessary
