Job Description:
The role of the HR Analytics Specialist is to work on projects that involve talent and human resource metrics. Collects and maintains data related to employee lifecycle (from recruiting to exit) at Deluxe. Identifies and presents ideas to streamline and automate collection and reporting process, analyzes data in order to present trends, themes, predictions and key learning. Creates, maintains metrics and dashboards about talent for HR partners and business leaders. Explains rationale/analysis in simple terms to help organization use and understand data.
Accountabilities:
- Partners with HR and Centers of Expertise to advance the business strategy and objectives to take a systemic view of talent utilizing human capital data from a variety of sources including talent acquisition, on-boarding and performance management
- Collects, consolidates, organizes, analyzes and reports on data from multiple sources (SAP, BrassRing, Qualtrics, Survey Monkey etc) on a routine and ad-hoc basis
- Prepares quarterly and ad hoc reports/presentations for senior management in a format that is easily understood that shows and anticipates trends in order to make informed decisions about talent
- Influences leaders to gain the highest value from talent data reports by reading and utilizing the information so that they gain meaningful insights leading to actionable decisions
- Partners with vendors (SKS) to isolate significant factors that serve as predictors about talent including: high potential, successors, and poor/successful cultural fit
- Recommends process improvements, enhancements and automation for talent management data identification, collection, storage, reporting and modeling
- Provides subject matter expertise on data analytics, identifying trends and predictive modeling
- Partners with other HR COE’s to design and create talent scorecards/dashboards, site health reports, and workforce strategy dashboards
- Tracks key talent, high potential and successor information to enable business decisions around development, workforce planning and succession planning
- Assists in collecting and tracking updates of development plans and succession plans to analyze and inform focus of leader development programs
- Provides second level support for OE and Corp Communication
- Position may include other duties as determined by the company
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Math, statistics, decision science, computer science
- Strong analytical, technical skills, problem solving, data analytics skills
- Experience on project teams
- Experience in Excel and other statistical software
- Customer service focus along with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy along with ability to predict and model
- Ability to be proactive and uncover customer needs and identify process improvements
- Must learn SAP to extract required data elements
- Knowledge of software packages and manipulation of data
