Job Description:
The Senior Manager of Systems Change Operations drives strategic direction, change and improvements on critical IT and business processes and core systems for the Financial Services organization. Changes are focused on ensuring customer needs are met by maintaining accurate systems, product and processes with significant direct financial institution impact. Key responsibilities include business release management, user acceptance testing and site verification activities, and increasing effectiveness on core applications through disciplined project management, lean methodology and systems processes. The incumbent will work closely with the FS leadership team, internal Deluxe partners, IT and outsourcing partners to drive clearer priorities, tighter performance management, and increase overall systems and organizational performance.
Accountabilities:
- Develop and facilitate projects/process improvements including defining required processes, resources, and measurement systems to gain operational effectiveness and efficiency in our systems
- Collaborate with internal partners to identify and implement changes resulting in higher efficiency and profitability as well as greater stability
- Allocates and deploys talent and resources to achieve business goals through lean and other continuous improvement programs
- Responsible for FS issue management, business operations coordination, and communication
- Interact with IT, Support, Sales, Marketing and other cross functional teams on future enhancements based on customer feedback and learnings
- Frequent interactions with the FS Leadership team to evaluate ideas, present recommendations, explain project plans and report progress
- Provide thought leadership to identify issues and opportunities, develop solutions, make recommendations and execute/manage the implementation
- Utilizes conceptual thinking in complex or new situations
- Act as the primary FS liaison to other Deluxe business units, IT and 3rd party vendors to ensure alignment
- Will require extensive knowledge of systems and processes with the ability to translate into business readiness plans
- Requires strong process orientation with the ability to build strategic roadmaps and tactical plans to drive change with existing team and across the segment
- Position may include other duties as determined by the company
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- 7-10 years of experience
- A leader and motivator with the management, organization and interpersonal skills as well as the stature to be a strong business partner to the rest of the organization
- An effective communicator, who engages by encouraging open communication, can establish credibility with senior sales leaders, senior technology executives, and customers
- Ability to get thoughts across to others, understand technical details and be able to gain agreement for fundamental change
- Has good people skills – can motivate, recruit, develop and retain high-potential people
- Demonstrate previous people leadership and processes to build a first-rate organization
- Ability to lead and motivate others (at least 10 direct reports) in a changing/matrixed environment
- A trustworthy executive with a reputation for fairness, dependability and adherence to high ethical standards
