Job Description:
The Human Resources Assistant is a critical and integral component of the Deluxe Small Business (SB) HR Team. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HR Assistant is responsible for ensuring consistent interpretation of company guidelines, policies and procedures; manage and maintain employee records in SAP to ensure integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of employee data; coordinate employee hiring processes to include: background checks and drug screens, new hire data entry.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Talent Acquisition
- Conduct background checks and drug screens
- Create offer and new hire packets
- Enter new hire data in SAP
- Monthly reporting of open positions
- Employee On-boarding
- New employee orientation
- Data and Reporting
- Create and maintain employee records in SAP
- Maintain employee records and files
- Collect data and run reports of employee information
- Create and maintain HR metrics - dashboard
- Customer Support
- Answer inquiries from employees in assigned client groups regarding pay, benefits and policies.
- Provide assistance to employees in assigned client groups to utilize the self-service tools available at Deluxe.
- Partner with HR Capabilities to identify trends and assist in finding resolutions.
- HR Program Management
- Assist in planning the schedule of events for the annual HR Programs for Small Business (i.e., performance reviews, LTIP, etc?)
- Maintain the HR Program calendar and key dates.
- Prepare documents, reports and presentations for meetings.
- Monthly HR Leadership Team 4-block
- Quarterly SB Leadership Team 4-block
- Quarterly SB HR Management Briefing
- Ensure all documentation is complete at the conclusion of the program
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or high school diploma with 2- 5 years of HR Support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required. Microsoft Visio is preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to produce accurate work; attention to detail; work in a fast-pasted performance-driven environment; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to multi-task and prioritize under minimal direction.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and as a team player.
- SAP or HRIS systems experience desired.
